Rice with bacon works so well that it threatens its relationship with... eggs! :)
There are many recipes for risotto. It is a great dish for culinary experiments because rice goes well with many ingredients. We are most pleased that rice with bacon works so well that it threatens its relationship with eggs. But seriously, rice takes on the flavour of bacon, is soaked in melted fat and tastes delicious. We know people who need nothing more. Coming back, however, to risotto, you can experiment with its flavours, composing your unique version. We've already tried zucchini and nuts, and now we've reached for green peas and spinach. Delicious and so healthy! We encourage you to experiment, but also you must try our recipe for risotto with bacon, green peas and spinach!
Ingredients:
- SMOKED BACON SLICES - 1 pack
- white rice (preferably arborio) - 1 bag
- 1 can of green peas
- onion
- a glass of dry white wine
- a few leaves of spinach
- garlic - 2 cloves
- 0.5 l broth
- butter
- spices (turmeric, curry)
- grated Parmesan cheese
How to prepare a risotto with bacon, green peas and spinach?
- chop garlic with onion and fry in butter until translucent
- add rice (if it is arborio, it cannot be rinsed before, so as not to eliminate the starch) and pour a glass of dry white wine and stir until the rice is little browned and the wine evaporates
- then add a few slices of smoked bacon, spinach leaves and peas, fry for a while, then add half of the broth and cook, stirring gently and not too often
- when the rice has absorbed the broth, add the remaining broth and cook for another 10 minutes, seasoning with turmeric or curry, and also adding grated Parmesan
